It can be held and aimed somewhat more intuitively than our other models which stick closer to period models.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt uses a spring powered plunger to launch either ø12 mm foam darts or ø22 mm balls, interchangeable with foam munition used by major toy blaster manufacturers. This ammunition is very light and doesn’t reach very high velocities, which makes firing our guns safe for practically any type of LARP event. The whole mechanism is made out of steel and integrated into the barrel, including the trigger. The plunger is sealed with leather. The effective range of this blaster is around 7 meters, but it is capable of shooting up to around 15 meters, depending on the wind. Shooting the mechanism produces a relatively loud explosion-like sound due to its internal components. The priming of this model requires a certain amount of strength to perform on the go, but it’s considerably easier when using a solid surface, such as a table.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe lock on this weapon is purely decorative, and it is made out of steel. The Wheellock is one of the earliest mechanical firing mechanisms, prized for its reliability, which is offset by its cost and complexity. It generated sparks via a spinning wheel, similar to some modern lighters. The dogs can rotate and be positioned however you prefer and they have functional jaws, meaning you can clasp a piece of flint or pyrite between them. However, the locks don’t react to the trigger.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe stock is made out of beech wood.
